Comments from the Chairperson

The upcoming school board election is one of the most important elections in our neighborhoods history.  As many of you know our neighborhood has spent the last two years working to keep our neighborhood schools open and working to do what is best for the children attending those schools.  I am asking everyone to make every effort to go to the polls on Election Day and elect new school board members who are willing to work with the community and will listen to us.  If anyone needs a ride to the polls please call me at 988-4288 and I will pick you up and take you to the polls.  The school board election usually sees a very low turn out and we want this year to be different.  Voting is the only way we have of showing the elected officials how we feel.  It has been very disappointing to see the lack of support from our elected city officials and current school board members.  We have the power to make a difference and voting will certainly let the district know how we feel.   Please vote on Election Day and remember there are new polling locations.  If you previously voted at Hope Lutheran Church you will now vote at Four Mile Community Center located at 3711 Easton Blvd.  If you previously voted at Adams Elementary School you will now vote at Logan Community Center located at 1740 Garfield Ave.  If you previously voted at Staves Methodist Church you will now vote at the Mid-Iowa Scout Service Center located at 1659 E. Euclid Ave.

Gratefully,
